4) IS YOUR CLIENT THE HEAD OR EMPLOYEE OF THE COMPANY?
This is one of the most non-concentrated and ignored points by many freelance graphic designers. Although you may not know this directly in a design contest, you should observe this from the way of this talk.
Employees generally don’t have a very firm stand on their concept. They just show the designs to their Boss, and just convey their message or suggestion to you. You can expect multiple iterations to your design if your client or design contest holder is an employee of his organization.
On the other hand, if your client or online design contest holder is the boss of his organization, then things go easily. The only thing that you should concentrate on is to impress him/her. Try to be as polite as possible, as that will help you to get a job in the future from him/her.

You then must design carefully to impress him/her in that short stressed time. But once done, you feel relaxed as you have earned a lot in just a few days.
But if your client is not at all in a hurry, then be patient and cooperate for multiple iterations of the logo design.
